Introduction to Successful Public Speaking
Often people don’t know where to start when it comes to speaking in front of people. They have the desire and know they will be good at it, but do not know where to start or how to formulate their words.
This course will teach you:
- How to get started,
- How to write and formulate your words like a pro-speaker.
- Three different strategies to present what you want to say
- Gain confidence that will match your desire to speak in front of people
- To overcome the traps of public speaking
- Eliminate fears and gain control when speaking
When I first started speaking in front of people, I was scared, got anxious and was very unsure about myself. I got so frustrated because I knew what I wanted to say, but when I stood in front of people it was like I could not find the words. It took me many years, too much money, and a lot of coaching to become a great speaker.
The more I searched for help, the more I realised that there are so much useless information, books and courses out there. I often got angry at myself for wasting time and money on those books and courses that led me nowhere.
My goal in writing this book is to help you become a great public speaker as fast as possible, without wasting your time or money. If you follow the guidelines in this book, you will know how to formulate and present content to your audience.
This is a major part of public speaking that many speakers neglect. Do not try and “wing it”!!! proper preparation is needed to speak with confidence and keeping your audience engaged.
It is not how long you prepare for a speech, but how efficiently you prepare. If you learn how to refine your preparation and delivery skills, you can deliver a great speech from your own foundation of knowledge and personal style.
BENEFITS OF PROFESSIONAL SPEAKING
- As your improved communication skills become obvious within the workplace, increased visibility, recognition and promotion will follow.
- Your improved presentation skills will win you the respect and admiration of your colleagues and employees – and make them wonder what you did to change!
- Leadership skills acquired through professional communication will increase your management potential.
- You will acquire an increased ability to motivate and persuade, making you more effective as a supervisor or manager.
Whether you want to or have to speak in front of people because or your job or someone asked you to, public speaking does not have to be hard and nerve wrecking. There is no rule that dictates how you should feel when you speak in front of people.
The secret of becoming a great speaker is preparation! First preparing what you want to say and then how you are going to say it. This book will help you to formulate what you want to say. This is always the first step in public speaking.
